We need a new website

We were writing a document. At an adjacent table half a dozen colleagues (of each other, not of ours) were discussing the agency they run and how they can grow. One of the discussions regarded improving their website. Lots of options were discussed, all of which led us to believe they were a substantially bigger business than they at first appeared. Over time, they all congregated around one of the ideas. Their plan was to have a photographic theme to the website. For reasons that never became clear it was to be 'people of different generations'. At first we assumed the people pictures might come from Getty or similar.  But oh no, as the idea formed, it grew. Enormously. Websites were consulted and the plan took shape. Not for them an image library. Only a bespoke shoot would do.

The plan became to hire a photographer.

And charter a yacht.

Which would be moored in a recognisable part of St Tropez harbour.

A casting agency would cast suitable models to represent the generations of people and presumably they would be flown to the South of France and put up in Riviera hotels for the duration of the shoot.

And hey presto (plus many months of time consuming planning) a new and wonderful website would materialise.

At the end of an hour or so's Googling and discussion, one member of the team brought events juddering to a halt: "We can't afford it." Oh yes, they all agreed. "What can we afford?"

"Nothing. We'll have to do it ourselves.....does anyone know how to use iWeb?"
